Easter Blessings

As we gather together with family and friends, on this most holy day to celebrate our Lord's Resurrection, let us take a moment to give thanks.

Thanks for the fellowship we share.

Thanks for the wonderful people who prepared the feast before us.

Thanks for the continued graces we receive:  gratitude for our blessings, joy in the moment and peace even when admist uncertainty or adversity.

And on this day, above all others, we can't help but contemplate our loved ones who have gone before us.  Perhaps on this day the veil between Heaven and earth is lifted to allow our love to ascend to them as their love descends to us.  May each of us experience the warmth of that love.  Let us go forth in conviction that those who have left this earthly realm are helping prepare a place for us in the new Jerusalem.

And so, all God's children say:  Amen
